i have tried google, cant find a definitive answer... how would one go about measuring the capacity of a battery in mAh? cpemma wrote in one of my other threads the capacity of duracell batteries. i need to figure out the capacity of some other random li-ion cells i've got lying around. my handspring uses 2 aaa batteries, used to use duracell, last around 4 days considering i did use the backlight a lot. 'modded' it so that i could attach an external battery pack and now been using the same 2 AA duracells for the last week and a half and the battery meter on the handspring is jst below full! thanx.
Well, if you have them to spare, or rechargeable (sorry, just forgot and don't feel like looking down) you can always rig up an ohm resistor to it or something rather and a LED, see how long it lasts. You can even rig up a 555 to count every minute or hour or something, yes... that'd be sweet.
Ah, sorry for the double post, don't think it matters though since it's already at the top of the stack now (I think). If you're really special, and I don't know the characteristics of that type of battery, but you might measure the voltage, put an ohm on it for an hour, measure it again, and guess using the logarithmic voltage deterioration or whatnot. I'm stupid and it's late.
