Stick one end in the pin corresponding with the green wire on the large connector and the other end in any of the black wired pins. I take no responsiblity if you end up looking like a pair of shoes with a wisp of smoke eminating from them.
Thanks all, of course i could have used the search only I wouldn't have gotten the great advices i got now... (isn't smoke considered a good thing???) (Really, sorry, i was doing about 4 things at the same time
Maybe I am just being totally but wouldn't you get a shock from the paperclip or do you have to use a plastic coated one ?
Don't forget that those 12volts are dc, so that hurt a little bit more then you would think, but still nothing to major. Not like getting zapped by a 110 outlet when plugging something in. That always gives me a jolt .
So people regularly electrocute themselves using a paperclip into the PSU leads ? Seems a strange practice
No, we electricute our selfs in other ways which are usually a lot less stupid, If you want to do some short wiring, why not just use a short piece of wire...? I use speaker wire when having my psu run without the motherboard, Its a lot safer/smarter
I actually electrocute my face once..there was some power in the back of my aluminium case i gues...went under my desk for some wireing.....and there we go..my face all red That hurts! TRY IT NOW! (for free)
What are you laughinh at? It wasn't funny, but now it is . Just try it and see / feel what happend 2 me
becuz the old ROUND CCFL inverters from sunbeam doesn't have that plastic cap thingy to block the unused plug... well i always clean up the wires and put away the inverters and i shock myself from touching the plug.. it's always fun tho.. my skin smells like barbeque... try this at home kids!
looking at the pins on the connector, with the clip on the left, the green wire is the forth one up on the left side of the connector. Code: oo oo oo oo |Coo oo This one-> oo oo oo oo
