Hey guys, im fairly new to modding.

I've just recently purchased the aquagate max water-cooling system and am planning on expanding on it.

I've only just learned a bit about the compression fittings and tubing dimensions etc.

I am getting chipset waterblocks that use 1/4" threading.
The tubing that comes with the aquagate is ID 3/8" OD 1/2".

My friend and I ordered some tubing that is ID 3/8 OD 5/8" (before we realised it was different)

Would I be right in assuming that the compression fittings designed for OD 1/2" tubing would not be safe to use with OD 5/8" (1/8" thick) tubing, as the tube walls are different and therefore the compression fitting wouldn't seal properly, which could lead to leakage?

    Hope this makes sense :hip:

Right, I doubt you would even be able to get the compression nut over the larger tubing to even attempt to seal it.
