    URGENT QUESTION NEEDS ANSWERING!

Could try a garden centre? Or B & Q maybe?

I have an urgent question!!! needs answering ASAP so would be VERY greatful and give whoever answers it a cookie,

I need to burn something onto a Duel Layer DVD but im not sure whether my DVD writers support it, how do i check?

I have 3 in total, two NEC ones and one Lite-on.

On the front of the Lite-on one it says these on the logos: [DVD MULTI-RECORDER] [RW DVD+R DL] [COMPACT DISC REWRITABLE]

On both of the NEC writers it says [DVD R/RW] [RW DVD+R DL]

will they write on duel layer dvds that are over 7gigs?

No, it's class OMGWTFBBQ; it is directly responsible for the creation of 'hoodie' clothing; it is 7,345,887 times stronger than the marijuana you may have smoked at college; it can be purified into heroin; and it is adulterated with lead, powdered glass, rat poison, cocaine, depleted uranium, and small Czechoslovakian gentlemen named Fil.

At least, that's what the Daily Mail tells me.

    The Question Thread

Thought it'd be good to have a thread (sticky perhaps?) where people can ask any old question and others could reply. Might save lots of random one question threads in future.

    and to start:

Is it legal for the local chip van near my school to sell Irn Bru cans at 55p when the can says 39p on it?

    Yes, it is.

39p is the MSRP - manufacturers suggested retail price.

More pertinent question: is it ethical to park your chip van near a school given the reportedly rising rates of childhood obesity?

Moreover, do you need to pass police checks to be able to park your van near a school (or run an ice-cream van or whatever), or can any old perv do it?

as long as you don't have any previous court orders preventing you from parking your van outside a school, any old perv can do it. why do you ask?

    Real Question:
Why do we use shiny reflective slick surface for most things people use with their greasy skin?

According to a friend of mine that studied contract law for her degree, this isn't actually the case. The phrase used is 'tempt to offer', but any details of a transaction / contract are decided at the time of purchase, and the amount stuck on the item is irrelevant.

However, abuse that too much and you won't find yourself with many customers....
