Linux quick question.

    when u see a distro which has been built/based on top of another one e.g. College linux built on slackware does this mean the person used LFS to create that newer distro? bcos dont u use another distro to use LFS?

    That's very possible. Never really gave it much thought.

    It could also be a distro that uses code and practices from the mentioned distro, so it behaves similar, but performs differently.


    Or maybe it just means some tosser came along and stuff a different sticker on the box. :hehe:
