Will unplugging my cd drive/hard drive to round the wires(power and data) mess it up? Will plugging a floppy drive into a computer that didnt come with one(and has been running for half a year)mess the comp up, will I nead a driver? Also my 12 volt line is soposedly at 11.7v is that good.(acording to basic lcd) Thanks
11.7V is fine, as long as it doesn't dive much farther lower than that while under load. (mind you mobo voltage monitors are notoriously wrong, grab yourself a multimeter and check it that way) A floppy drive has been a driver-less device for 10 years+...it's controlled through the mobo, the OS will just add a port to interface it. As long as you don't do it while the computer is running, of course you can unplug the HDD/optical drives...
