    Anyone know of any really quiet external HDs?

    Not by brand. I think you'll have better luck on noise levels if you go with a USB powered 2.5" drive than an AC powered 3.5" drive. What are you looking for?

    If you want high capacity as well as low noise, my 500GB WD MyBook is very quiet.. Although having said that it is 5400RPM, and only has USB 2.0.

    I bought a Rosewill 2 bay hdd cage and 2 500gb hdd. All you hear is the mini fan on the cage.
