Modding Quite the unusual cable

    I just found a cable in a big box. I know it is intended for a computer, but I don't know what it's for. It has a serial adapter on one side, andthe other side has a headphone jack. What was this used for, and what can I do with it know, if anything.

    Sorry if this doesnt belong here, if it doesn't please movie it. :'(

    It's either a serail home control cable for a Tivo-to-satelite connection, a serial link-up cable for a TI-83 calculator, or an old serial connector to a crappy old digital camera.

    Yeah i remember my dad's got an 'old' Sony camcorder that has such a cable to connect to his PC.
