Just noticed doing a Froogle search that Rebel Gadgets claim to have the Radeon 7970 (Sapphire) in stock ready to ship on Monday.

They have 33 reviews in Froogle with an average five star rating, not a large number of reviews but a very high average score. Anyone bought from them before? Reckon it's worth putting in an order, or not?

Just called Scan to see if they have any in stock and was told no so can't get it from them.

    Ideas on a postcard... :thumb:

EDIT: He's only got three and only advertised them today, so I've ordered mine.

    Two left...

Froogle? You mean Google Shopping lol

The cards are out there at suppliers, but prices are under the NDA, and pre purchased could cost considerably more than the actual price.

As for Rebel Gadgets, their address is a private residence http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=667...oid=708yjJb_WzhpYafqM_lYJw&cbp=12,310.65,,0,0

    667 Halifax Road, Rochdale, Lancashire , OL12 9QZ

Looks legit though, but they probably only have 1, or none, and will order when you order.

Pffft. Discounts should be given to people who buy multiple and place them in an epic rig. Add extra cost if they insist on using air cooling :p

The Asus cards are going to be the fastest straight from the get go as they have core and memory voltage tweaks in the software, the others don't.

That's about right, they're going on Google Shopping for $630-$700, $650 on average and according to my math that's around £420.

OcUK have pre-order H2O 7970 ATM for £640 iirc. Less the cost of a water block and engineer fitting it I think we're gonna be looking around £500 on launch day! Be nice to be wrong though and they come in the south side of £450. I can't see this given the current pricing on 3gb 580's and the fact the 7970s trounce them..

This, that's what I thought given the OCUK watercooled GTX580 pricing vs normal OCUK GTX580s. I'd reckon £475 at the cheapest on launch. Just as well I was paid recently, and have my student loan through that day :D.

Just wait till the GTX 780 comes out, I foresee a lot of people regretting their early choices.

No matter which one they get, most people will find it hard to utilise the power anyway. :D

As more and more people invest in 1440p and 1600p screens.. which they are doing, This kind of power will easily be required. The fact you can get a 27" 1440p screen for circa £400, I'd say these cards are perfect. Heck even frostbite 2 engine brings a 580 to it's knees in BF3 ultra (inc AA) at 1080p and I think FB2 engine is going to be around quite a bit over the next year or so.
