News Radeon 9800XT coverage

    A couple of articles on the new XT. Firstly, Spode's Abode was at the launch in Munich:

    "Next step, we were all put on board a bus and driven through what felt like a war-torn army controlled town. Several AT's were running around, blowing cars up, being shot down and one fellow was entirely on fire. About 3 minutes into this ordeal, I had the great idea of taking a few video clips using my digital camera."

    More from Spode here Once you've taken a look at that, Beyond3D have done a review:

    "Whatever the case may be with regards to this being a new chip or a revised chip, essentially the design does remain the same; however there have been a few architectural tweaks in order to remove further hotspots from the R350 design and also move to a revised 150nm process. Although the process is still basically TSMC's 150nm process the transistors are able to switch faster on this process than the previous one, giving rise to a slightly higher clock speed."
