not a cube, a big thin one. i want to get a DD kit, but i dont know if i need a certain size ID rad. im not really sure how small the rad tube can be.
There is a Ford truck heater core that has a finned cooling area of the size you describe. It's the largest heater core I know of, 10.75 X 10.25 X 2 from Ford tilt cab trucks built from 58-67 & C, CT, BEF, FA5 & 001 Ford trucks built between 58-79. This core has 5/8" inlet/outlets that you could slip 1/2" Tygon over pretty easy. This core has 22 flat tubes, 11 in each pass of it's double pass design. The only real draw backs to this core are: 1) Where to fit it? It's so large I've never seen it used in a system. 2) A rad this large will require a pretty large pump, like a MD-20Z or MD-30Z Iwaki to drive a high flow through it's huge size. 3) Cost, it's expensive as cores go, around $80.00, although this is not unreasonable when you consider it will beat every other made for water cooling rad or any heater core for cooling.
