http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...,1,6747076.story?track=rss&ctrack=1&cset=true Oh great, one show, on the other side of the damn World. Hopefully someone will throw enough money in their direction to play some shows in Europe. Not that they're the kind of band to do that kind of thing anyway.
But then again, when has anyone ever reunited for only one show? EDIT: Come to think of it, didn't The Pixies reform after 11 years or so to play Coachella, and them end up touring all over the place? Including Reading Festival in 2005, I might add
De La Rocha is probably a lot happier about this than the rest of the band considering his career has gone down the toilet since they split. Great band though.
Yeah they did and it ruled! But it could go the otherway, floyd did the one show for the live aid thing and they sure as hell aint reuniting
Has he made any effort to have a career? Not that I've been paying much attention, but didn't he get in trouble for running guns for Columbian freedom fighters at one point? *n ... just kidding, it's still me.
Yeah, he spent quite a while in production of it, with the help of Trent Reznor. But it just seems that nothing has surfaced from it. And yeah, he has been known to go for a bit of gun running with those freedom fighters in Mexico and South America.
As far as I know the only thing he's done that has surfaced was with DJ Shadow, and although there were a few finished tracks Rocha canned the entire project after a particularly fierce attack of ego (according to Shadow atleast). He had one track up for download until he pulled it off his site, without ever really explaining why.
What track was that? I remember downloading "We Want it All" (which I still have) a couple of years back, and it sounds pretty good.
It was here: http://www.zackdelarocha.com/ But the link goes to a gay sex site now. You can hear it still here: http://www.marchofdeath.com/
*Breaks out in a cold sweat* OMG how can people make rumours like this, don't they know how excited we get!
*goes to find a flag to burn* fake edit: Jeebus Rich, why do all our conversations end up with sig worthy qoutes?
Come on, a couple of interviews with Noam Chomsky isn't a career nowadays? Wouldn't mind hearing some of the stuff he did with Trent Reznor. There's an (unofficial I assume) album with a bunch of tracks he did with other people (Blackalicious, Roni Size, KRS-One, Outkast, etc), some of those are alright. I can't help but thinking he's sorta clutching at straws now, looking at the success of Audioslave. They're still definitely at the top of the list of bands I wouldn't mind seeing though.
