for anyone interested and having big problems running rage, amd catalyst 11.10 final was released monday and since installing it it has been playing like it should have in the beginning. had to wait a few days for this driver as I wanted the final release.
Glad to hear it - especially as the game was meant to be optimised for AMD cards, wasn't it? For GTX fans, Nvidia's latest drivers help a lot, but I've still got big problems with tearing. But the game is now almost playable!
