I actually looked at your page prior to this thread. Any plans to integrate an icon into your hexagonads? That'd look awesome!

Also, does anyone know of a good MSI afterburner info add on?

Those look great, I love the idea of having the hexagons to load programs

Like I said in my original post, I'm pretty new to the whole rainmeter thing and I wouldn't have a clue where to start in doing some coding for myself (even though I studied computing at college, VB.NET is not the be-all and end-all of coding, far from it!) so I'm kinda watching things from the back seat at the minute :D

@Parge: I have played with the idea of adding icons to Hexagonads, and I think it's something I may eventually add. The only thing keeping me from implementing it is that it would be difficult to support as a main feature. I cannot make rainmeter automatically fetch the image files for the icon like some programs can, so each image file must be added manually, and many standard icon files are too low resolution to look good at a reasonable size for my default hexagon sizing.

So, while there's nothing stopping me from doing it, the end result would be a tad inelegant compared to the amount of work I would have to do to make it happen. That being said, I could see myself adding it to version 3.0.

Also, a little bit of poking around revealed that there is a afterburner plugin, you can get the .dll here, some searching around DA should yield a few skins to choose from.

@SamL: While it's really not necessary, I would suggest skimming through the documentation and looking at a few config files to get a basic understanding of how it all fits together. Once you know the basics it's pretty easy to change little details like font size and color.

For gpu I like skin that uses the GPUInfo.dll, since it doesn't require anything running in background, gets all info from drivers.

Well the supplied skin is nothing special, it's the plugin you want from my link in last post.

I'm posting an image from Sarakon in the Desktop thread, but the question is for anyone: what rainmeter skin is that?

I've been looking for a long time for a neat, simple skin with that menu option (no idea what its called) so I can run my games from desktop, but keep the desktop clear.

    Image

    Thanks in advance! :thumb:

I wasn't able to find anything like that poking around DA. Have you sent him a PM asking?

It could be made with a different platform, like Samurize. But I have little experience with other desktop modding systems so I wouldn't really know.
