Not sure what to do and I am hoping someone can help. I have just received the last of the parts for my new build. I have got 8GB Corsair Vengeance to go with 2500k and P8P67 Pro. BUT The memory says Low Voltage 1.35v but the product CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 that it is, is listed everywhere as 1.5v Should I be trying to send it back and get the 1.5v stuff or is 1.35v going to be ok?
The lower the voltage, the better really, also if it is rated at 1.35v give it a shot, if it doesnt work you can always try upping the voltage, if that doesnt work then send it back!
It runs cooler and if you overclock it will still be cooler than standard stuff running at 1.65v. Plus theres the power saving as well.
So it is safe to use? I dont have to worry about damaging anything else? Also when I do get round to overclocking is it going to effect the cpu overclock?
Worst case scenario is you fit it and it doesn't work . Is it going in the rig in your sig? Edit, just looked at the first post. It should be ok, just check that you mobo can run the lo-vo stuff.
Its better as said above because it runs cooler and also has more OC head room. Will be able to get faster speeds at lower voltages compared to 1.5V ram.
Its a shame that its gold coloured! Still considering changing it, even though it is better, because I am not a fan of the colour!
Its going back! Especially now I've had an email saying my O2 bill is a lot lower this month so 16GB instead of 8GB of Blue memory to be delivered tomorrow!
