Hi guys, I recently bought a socket 479 (core 2 duo mobile) motherboard from ebay, stupidly not realising that it didn't come with a CPU heatsink or I/O shield. Anyway, lesson learned, I want to get it up and running so at least I don't look quite so stupid. Problem is, the heatsink mounting holes are not of the standard socket 479 ilk (of course! ) so I'm trying to find a heatsink that will fit the little bugger! See image below, click for bigger: The measurements between the centre of the holes horizontally and vertically measures 5.5cm. Diagonally, 7.5cm. Question is, anyone know of any heatsinks I may be able to use on this board? I doubt heat will be too much of an issue as the CPU's I'm looking to use only seem to kick out around 35w full pelt.
