I was wondering if there are any programs available that can rate overclocked cpus against the xp rating system to see where they stand against other cpu's as im not sure how good my cpu is compared to other amd cpu's. I currently have a 2000 running at 200 x 9 = 1800mhz

cant remember the correct way of working the PR rating out....

but, the 2200+ runs at 1800mhz.. however, you also have a 200mhz fsb.. so i would estimate your proc has a PR rating at around 2300/2400+

Have used that before. Barton ratings seems very high. So I have 4700+ when I run 227x12,5... but only 3700+ with a Tbred at the same speed... Tbreds should have a PR-rating 200 lower than a Barton at the same speed, NOT 1000!

    www.whos-j00r-daddeh.net/opn.zip ;)

    Works well for me :)

Front side bus is redundant, that's system performance... out and out cpu performance will be *about* the same, but the tool that Olv has linked is kinda hugely wrong IMHO :p

i noticed the addition of A64 to the PR rater :thumb:

still a good program no doubt

yeah FSB isn't taken into account because it's far too complex to work out exact performance relating to front side bus and multiplier. I prefer to say I've got a Barton at 2750Mhz than a Barton at 4025+ just sounds better imo :p

    lol!

yeah, and i like to say i got a 229mhz fsb on my tbred. *the whole ~2061mhz is just embarassing*

but yeah, i WOULD prefer to say the actual clock too

pfft got nothing to do with me! just thought i'd try and be semi useful for once!

/me remembers to reply with sarcastic google related comment next time

PRs are a load of crap anyway if you ask me, especially with A64s. Benchmarks speak louder then words. :)

    i stand by OPN :p

ofcoarse, cpu will do the same old tricks.. but a 2200+ with 200fsb is going to out-do a 2400 at stock FSB because what ever your computering the ram is going to transfer alot faster, and if anything is done on the cpu, the ram WILL be used... even the graphics card is sped up by faster ram ;)

olv is right tho, your real performance is going to show truly on bench marks tho. i can get my PR stable at over 2700+ and its still trailing my friends 2.6ghz P4 (stock speed) in benchmarks.. ;)

heh, I agree benchies speak louder than PR ratings :D

"I've got a XXs superpi 1m Athlon XP" sounds much better than "I've got an XP4000+" :hip:

You're always useful, olv... my darling ;)
