As above, I've been using UFRaw for a little while now, and it's been fine, however it's started giving me corrupted memory profile errors all over the place, and it's made it unusable.

So I was wondering what other people were using?

used to use elements 7 then elements 10, then Adobe dropped the price of lightroom with version 4 and now i'm a very very happy lightroom 4 user.

I'm looking at Lightroom at the moment, just downloading the trial and going to have a go with it, it's not like I need it to do a lot at the moment, since I don't really know what I'm doing yet. Just want something that works :p

Anything by Adobe. I've used ACR for years and simply can't get enough of it - the adjustments are so incredibly easy and well laid out.

Lightroom is brilliant - simple but powerful.

The presets are great too, and you can get more from presetpond.com

Yeah I'm having more of a play today, and it seems like a pretty awesome bit of kit, not looked at the presets yet.

been using lightroom for over a year. I defintely recommend it. Especially if someone is debating between lightroom or photoshop.

As for the canon tools. The software your looking for is called DPP or Digital Photo Professional. It should be on the disc that came with your camera. And while your at it you might as well also load the EOS Utility.
