I have my monitor backlit with some strips of LED lighting attached to a controller I can then use the remote to do my thing. Problem is no matter what the controller refuses point blank to remain fixed to the back of the monitor. I am using self adhesive velcro and have thoroughly cleaned the fixing point. As I do not want to permanently fix the controller to the monitor I am looking for advice on a suitable method/material to semi permanently fix the controller in position. When I come to remove it then I do not want to have problems removing the adhesive ETC. Any suggestions?
Is there a spare connector on the monitor like a VGA or DVI you don't use? You could make a simple bracket for the controller and use the two mounting points that the VGA/DVI screw onto.
I had to use some on the strip in my case because the backing tape on it wasn't great and it kept sagging away from the roof. But yeah it should do for holding the controller in place, and will come off clean when you want it to.
