Ok. Haven't posted here before, but am going to catch up on my current projects. This is an stock xbox case that is going to get a DVD-window, hardwired dvd-dongle and an LCD-display. The black is going to be cut for the dvd-cutout... and here you see my cleared jewel, not polished yet :S to the left will be the "eye" for the remote and on the right the ejectbutton should fit fine.. in the middle where the ejectbutton used to be, a lcd-display will be fitted behind a mirror. the front is sanded down and ready to paint (the only thing left is the small plate infront of the display/powerbutton) Cutout for the jewel and started with the dvdcutout. The lcd is testmounted DVD-dongle is completely dismantled and ready to soldier in, also I traded in a x-bit chip (as if I am thrilled about that *NOT*). I have also polished the dvd-cutout some.. This is how you should do a jewel-hole Almost finished the dvd-cutout.. Here is the front details, with the hole for the LCD. The dark paint of the top. and the front quickly assembled.. Painted the eject and power button symbols.. after that I modded the front inside.. and finaly, here is the front all put togheter.. the top, with paint finished the front, with paint finished the side, with paint finished Painted the dvd-remote, just have to wait for some "transfer letters" or "rub-on letters" to put the text back on the remote before clearcoating it, so the text wont wear off. This is how far I have come, more to come.. awaiting parts
my fault, fixed now... linked to the bigger .png files instead of .jpg anything that xbox media center can display, like temperature, free mem, currently playing things etc.
Damn xbox modding sure has come along way from when it first came out. When I first put an OpenXbox chip in mine I had it in a static bag taped to the side...
