interesting to see silverstone ahead of better known psu brands and yet no-one's commented. has no one owned one of these (or used for that matter)

Silverstone makes solid units. They make use of Etasis and enhance for their power supplies. Etasis makes server grade power supplies. Enhance also makes server grade power supplies.

Silverstone makes the best power supplies on this list. That might be different if PCP&C and Zippy were on the list also.

PCP&C without doubt for me. Never found a PSU as solid - couldn't see it on the list :duh: :jawdrop:

I voted Antec because I was really impressed with the first one I bought (stable, whisper quiet, allowed my system to wake from keyboard (the old PSU didn't)) but honestly I'd look for features, cost, & reviews before buying another. Often, if it's powerful enough, I just try the PSU that came with the case (if it had one).

Easily Seasonic. Solid and stable performance, highly reliable, actually delivers the stated power (you'll be surprised how many high performance PSUs actually do NOT deliver their stated power :worried: ), quiet, and incredibly efficient. The PSU of choice for me :D

I voted for seasonic, because if I did buy a PSU tomorrow it would be a seasonic, but for my main system I wouldn't use anything other than a PCP&C

I voted Other, because I would absolutely get an Ultra powersupply anyday. My favorite brand, been using them since the days when they were the first to the market (aside from modders) with a modular PSU. 3 powersupplies later (due to changing specifications, not failure), I'm still using Ultra and happy.

PCP&C - rock solid, but nowhere near as quiet as my Tagan.

    Hiper Type-R for me!

I've got three of their 580w modulars in different systems... and I've not long bought one of their 730w 'Omnigrid II' models.

Despite comments made by nay-sayers about Hiper units... I've found them to be very reliable, with rock solid rails

And they're hyper (or should that be hiper?)-"bling" too! What more could ye want :D

    Corsair
I'm looking to build a system over christmas. Probably going to have a Corsair HX620 PSU in it. It can support more than my budget can and I've heard that its reliable. Other perks, Its modular, nice big fan and a good black paint job.

Yup, the corsairs are just seasonics with modular cabling. Best PSU's on the market right now imo

Corsair's are a different breed of seasonic. Still high quality, high output, and not bad for price.

Pretty fantastic for the price imo. Just as efficient if not more so, basicly the same stuff inside, but modular, and cheap. Perfect PSU as far as I'm concerned.

Voted Tagan. I would like a Seasonic (or even a PP&C) but they cost a little too much for my budget.
