I did spend about 4 hours trying this before I posted then found the answer minutes later :wallbash:

    Hi Guys,

Stupid question I'm sure, but it's got me stumped for way too long now.

How can I get Realtek HD manager to output stereo on 2 ports at the same time??

My ultimate goal is 2.1 output, but it seems this is too complicated for WMP11 + Realtek HD, so I'm going down the route of I have a sub with it's own cross over, and tweeters with their own cross overs, however I don't have the perfect addition: a 3.5mm stereo jack splitter.

I have a laptop with 4 output ports, all classed as "back panel", so there's no '2nd audio stream' option I keep reading about. Within Realtek, I can click on each speaker and it works, however audio programs all output on the stereo only, leaving out the sub.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks!

    Solution:
Changed the registry key mapping streams to output pins, to make 2x stereo outputs. Woop!

If anyone's really interested I'll post the full solution.
