I have to say it reminds me most of Privateer, more so even than the Freelancer similarities. It really follows the Privateer recipe and same gameplay loops

 

I'm a bit of a gimpy dork, so i loved the paintshop part too:

You WANT this to make cash, the rest of the game then becomes irrelevant but enjoyable

Agreed. I think 2 is even on Steam.

This looks pretty good fun. If it has similar musical bent to the first, that'll be great. The "Dark Country" music of Rebels Galaxy was quite refreshing. I want it, but it can wait until it's off the EGS. If it hits GOG, I'll get it there.
