With more people finding out about the Beamdog remake of Baldurs Gate, I was wondering what games would people like remakes/reboots of? I'd be up for: -A remake of the Homeworld series(or a Homeworld 3, please read Relic). -Remakes of the TIE Fighter, XvT and X-Wing Alliance games in a shiney new game engine. I'd been replaying XWA and it's just such a great game.
Little Big Adventure 3, and a updated Constructor. That would be mega. Plus Black Mesa source being released would be rather nifty.
Silkworm IK + Pirates (yes i know sid meirs did a re-boot but it was no where as in depth or complex as the original) An up to date fallout in the original top down, isometric style (before the first person ones)
a new Ultima Total Annihilation 2 World in Conflict 2 Elite 4 System Shock 3 Baldurs Gate 3 Syndicate 3 Wizardry 9 Vampire The Masquerade 3 Transport Tycoon 2 Castles 3 etc
Pretty much anything that was made by Bullfrog, Origin and early LucasArts. Commander Keen, faithful to the original. Gameplay+++++
All the Lucas Arts Puzzle "point-and-click" games, as in The Dig, Day of the Tenticle, Full Thottle, etc
I thought it was fashionable to say remakes are bad and we need new IP....clearly I'm not hipster enough. Anyhoo, Syndicate 3 (although the recent one was OK, I want to see the original style back) and Vampire Masquerade, but that's a sequel I want, not a remake. And a quirky little NeoGeo Pocket game called Card Fighters Clash.... ooh and Contra
Syndicate was one of the very best games I ever played. For that reason I couldn't bring myself to play the FPS "remake". <3
Homeworld. A new TA kingdoms game. Even the same game with the engine of supreme commander. I loved that game
