I seem to be too stupid to find one. My laptop/tablet only has a Micro-B USB 3 port. Now I'd like to attach my external 2,5" USB 3 drive to it, but appearently, the Micro-B port [scotty'svoice] Doesn't Have The Power [/scotty'svoice]. Now I know split USB cables exist for this, but the drive came with a "normal" Micro-B to A USB 3 cable, so it's supposed to run with only one cable. So what I need, is a cable with A USB 3 and a "normal" USB 2 for power only, on one end, and a Micro-B USB of course the USB 2 part shouldn't transfer any data, only power...that's the tricky part. Ummmm, help?
Is it something like this your after? If so, I shall have a further look for an alternative seller. Edit: Here's one on eBay Germany (I think...).
ummm, thats more direct than what I meant but yeah, the male A USB one on that does power only, not data, right? I have this and wanted to continue from there, but yours is better Besides I always wanted to try DX.com, so much crazy stuff on there
I reckon so, the title says "w/ external power" and the description says "The external USB Cable is the Power for USB Device".
