Hi Sorry this is quite a generalised question. I am looking for a new monitor for gaming, photo editing, graphic design. I would like it to be sub £400, shouldn't be too hard (I hope), full HD and anything larger than say 23". Any help much appreciated, thanks.
Oh yes I forgot I found this: http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=193757 Seems to have good reviews, and a great high resolution. Is it worth it? Thanks.
NEC MultiSync EA231WMi http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/monitors/2010/01/07/nec-multisync-ea231wmi/2 £300, 23", 1920x1080 and we've reviewed the dell too http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/monitors/2010/01/23/dell-sp2309w-monitor-review/1
Is the NEC really suitable for gaming? Digital Versus would seem to diagree. http://www.digitalversus.com/article-357-7773-52.html
We review based on actually using the monitor, not by just reading specs off the side of the box. To quote Antony from his review on the NEC "Our input lag test revealed no issues either, with the NEC keeping up to the millisecond with our virtually input lag-free Dell 3008WFP-HC control monitor. While we were worried that the quoted 14ms response time would lead to blurry images and ghosting in games, the NEC displayed roughly the same level of lag as the HP(LP245) - it was fine, if not exceptional." It's fine for gaming. I'd challenge anyone to spot the difference between a 5ms and 14ms response monitor in real world use anyway
Is there not a 24" NEC in the same line? I looked at it recently but couldn't really find any reviews of it if I recall correctly.
