Hi folks, looks like I am going to need a new P8 compatable PSU for the P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe / Conroe E6600 system I am upgrading to :wallbash:

I currently use the modular Antec NEOPower 480 and like how I don't have to have unused connectors in the case etc and also how it controls my chassis fans, is there anything on the market that would give me enough power for the new system (Inc P8 connection) that is modular and quiet / silent in design

Thanks for any advice you can offer me...D-an-W

Seasonics are apparently pretty quiet... and I wouldn't say my Hiper Type-R's are particularly "noisy"... but of course what I consider 'quiet'... you might consider noisy

This Antec Neo HE 550 seems to fit the bill spec wise but as Hazardous said are Seasonic and perhaps Tagan a better choice these days

The Antec Neo HE 550 is a nice unit, but I'd be inclined to look at some of the Seasonic units - they're about as good as it gets when it comes to efficiency.

Yes, Tagans are very quiet, and also the best PSU's available in my opinion.

If you want a Tagan, the U's are very quiet indeed (And I mean properly quiet too, I hesistate to use the word silent, but they're not far off). :)
