Can anyone recommend me a book similar in style to the Dark Tower and Otherland series ? I just finished the Otherland series which I immensely loved. Reminded me of the Dark Tower books in which strangers from widely different backgrounds join forces to fight a common enemy. Preferably sci-fi or cyber punk rather than pure fantasy like LOTR.

    Cheers

Anything by Neal Asher if you're into sci-fi space opera and theres always William Gibson to fall back on.

Lost many an hour to those two authors :thumb:

Hyperion books by dam Simmons, a great sci-fi space opera. Well worth a read.

I would reccomend Deathlands. Has a bit similar feel due to the post apocalyptic sci-fi/alternate history thing going for it. It's a bit hit and miss as there have been several writers for the series, but it could keep you occupied for a very, very long time.

    Riverworld series?

Features a bunch of famous strangers from widely different backgrounds (Different periods in time, actually) band together to work out why everyone has been resurrected from the dead on a planet with a river thousands of miles long.

I would like to suggest "The Saga of Seven Suns" by Kevin J. Anderson. An excellent read.
