    USB controller!

I want one for racing games because quite frankly, using the keyboard for racing games isn't all that fun for me.

My budget is to spend as little as possible, I suppose £20 at most.

    Suggestions?

The Saitek ones are pretty decent, they come in PS or Xbox360 flavours as well :thumb:

Edit: This one, or this one.

Or you could use a 360 pad, but I prefer the Saitek ones lol

Yes, yes I do mean gaming pad! I apologise for my lack of correct terminology, I am a n00b.

I'm not all that keen on the xbox one, but I could get used to it.

I have an XBOX 360 pad and it's awesome. I'd happily recommend it over anything else.

As a long time console gamer aswell as PC gamer I have never felt more comfortable witha controller than the 360 pad. The size fits very comfortably in the hands and the buttons are perfectly placed.

Also, in some games e.g. Just Cause 2 the game automatically detects that an Xbox pad is being used and sets up the controls for you. I don't know if this happens with other pads but it was a nice surprise when I installed JC2 a while back.

Hmmm, looks like I will be going for the xbox 360 pad. I must admit, at some point in the future I wouldn't mind a 360 console (please don't hurt me!) especially with xbox live coming to the PC and already being on WP7, which I may also switch too.

XBox 360 controller is my recommendation. I have 2 of them.
The wired one, is great because the wire is SUPER long. And yes, it ends with a normal PC USB plug, no hack or tricks. Just plug-it in, and Vista/Win7 will take it no problem. If you are on XP (or bought the wireless one), you need to use the provided disk.

Oh if you get the wireless one: you need to buy the PC version, which is more expensive, as you need the wireless receiver.

Again, and to be clear: nothing is needed for the wired version.
