if youre on a budget definatly go for AMD, and even if youre not id still go for AMD....but this depends on what you wanna do with it

not many people here agree with me, but i really like asus mobos, so the A7V333 would be my choice...otherwise get an ABIT...they make great mobos aswell...

and some nice DDR ram....crucial and ur sorted...

Again, the answers for this one will be extremely subjective particularly for motherboards! CPU choice depends mainly on what you want it for, however, the main consensus is that most go for AMD at the moment. Then for Motherboard I like Soyo boards like the Dragon+, but any from Asus, Abit, Iwill, Soltek or Epox should do fine! Just decide what you want on it, set a budget and decide on a board you like the sound of!

Stay away from ECS, PC Chips, & Lucky Star for motherboards.

Lucky Star's support just plain stinks!

I would have to recommend AMD right now as well. You should wait another month or two till the new processors come out.

Apu, try to put some life into your posts. If you don't get creative then people won't reply. I like to compare my computer to a girl and joke about having sex with it. It's zany ramblings that'll get you noticed. Then again, this may be just another of my zany ramblings. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, my monkey has just finished drawing my bath.

The Iwill XP333 w/AMD XP is a popular combo. Personally, I just bought the AOpen AK77-333 w/XP1800. Jamie is right, it is a very subjective question. I think you will find mostly an AMD camp in here mostly because of cost/performance. :D

One other thing...... Asus and some Soundblaster cards are hard to set up and configure to work properly. I did it with this MoBo and an Asus A7V133, but it wasn't the easiest thing to do.... just F.Y.I.... ;)
