AFAIK it's not possible to have files deleted by a user on a (mapped) network-share go to the servers recycle bin instead of being 'permanently' deleted. Please correct me if i'm wrong. As i know 3rd party software exists to recover those files.
You could check out Executive Software's Undelete program, that *might* do the trick, but otherwise you are correct, W2k/W2k3/XP will permanently delete files over the network. HTH Buzzy
Thks for input Buzzy. I had a funny incident with Undelete Server once; it actually took up all available disk-space so Win2K wouldn't start
