Recycling old PS2 and Xbox consoles?

    Was reading the BBC website and found an interesting article here.

    I seriously think that this is a good idea, I never actually known that SONY has an official Linux software for the PS2. Unoforuntaly there are no schemes for the recylcing idea.

    well they have to shortly pay for the recycling cost of their product, either themselves or passing this cost to the consumer. also lead is a no no. so lead free components and solder from now on.
    to save the environment.

    funny thing is, lead free solder needs an extra 15degrees c to melt compared to normal lead solder. so more power will be needed creating more greenhouse gases!

    so wouldnt it be great if they did this? save them the cost of complete recycling, by just loading in some software and passing it on to schools etc.
