sheep have also been known to jump off cliffs in wales when a group of ten 15yr olds go near them... i've seen it happen... stupid sheep
we get loads of low flying aircraft near us. weve got a qinetic research place about 10 miles away and one of the things they do is create things to look for land mines and stuff like that. incidently its the first place in england where they had the internet. when i did work experience there they showed me the building where the cable came up from the ground from america.
Depends what you call the internet nedsbeds. the first real connection between ARPANET and the UK was to University College of London by satellite in 1977.
ok then. it was a big long cable that sent data from one computer to another. one was in america somewhere and one was in this little building. or so i was told.
its almost worth going to wales just to do that. ned runs as many welsh people try to clobber him. Sorry wales
This is why we keep our cattle on the open plains Jeeze that would suck to watch your $25,000 worth of cattle take a leap like that.
I was in the RAF Air Cadets, before I moved over here. We got to do some cool stuff, rifle training, I flew a bulldog And we got to go to Fairford and Mildenhall AFBs for the big shows Good stuff, we were on the other side of the rope, getting to go in all the aircraft Infact I was there at, I believe Fairford, but I could be wrong, when the 2 SU27s collided in mid-air. It was fairly uneventful, but we were used for crowd control and stuff like that. Apparently neither pilot was seriously hurt (and I've seen that crash about 4000 times now on FOX specials and the Discovery channel) Plus we were some of the first people to climb onboard one of the Russian Bears that were out there, it was funny there were a bunch of teenaged Air Cadets, a Stf. Sergeant of ours and a handful of middle aged Americans in suits all looking at all the stuff in the aircraft. Apparently we were some of the first westerners to get to go inside that model Bear, right before the *ahem* American sightseers behind us. oh, I must have seen the Red Arrows perform 2 dozen times in my life. I've seen the Blue Angels only once so far, I'm really impressed with the skill, ability and engineering of Aviation. I guess I'm a geek. S.
lol A bulldog is the crappiest two seater training turboprop physically imaginable (about as attractive as its canine counterpart) And the Bear is a Russian Tupelov built Bomber. NATO callsigns on Russian aircraft tells you what they are. Begins with B it's a bomber, F (Foxbat, etc) it's a fighter and H (Hind, etc) it's a helicopter. Someone post the Buddy Christ "Thanks for the info" image here before RTT does S.
