    Right, heres the deal,

I've tried to install Thiz Linux, didn't work

I've tried to install Red Hat Linux, didn't work

So, I pondered and pondered on what could be causing the problem, it kept saying 'screen not found' after the installion, yet during the installation when it runs X so you can set the resolution, it runs fine :grr: . So I thought to myself 'if it doesn't work next time, I'm chucking it out the bloody window' :D .

After the last installation I noticed something in the dialogue, the set-up had tried to run X in normal mode and failed, then it had tried to run it in VESA mode and was succesful,

My REAL question is, how do you get X to run in VESA mode ?

    You don't.

That screen not found error is because Linux cannot recognize your video card properly. You need to install the drivers for it, and set up the config file.

So head over to ATI or NVidia's website and grab teh latest driver, and go nuts :D
