This might be a stupid question... but... Is it possible to get Ultraviolet Cold Cathodes, that glow with a red light? Or is a UV cold cathode always Purple by definition ? Cheers It is for this project btw... Leather Briefcase PC
Doesnt the violet in Ultraviolet give a way the answer? No UV is on one end of the spectrum and the red equivilent is on the other end called infrared.
I think what would be cool is if you could buy cold-cathodes that split white light so you get all the cool colours like a rainbow light.
your breifcase is very cool, as for the cathode, i would have to say, leave it purple because a. it will be more inconspicuous in the dark b. the awesome glowing red accents from your sleved cables will make the purple light a very minor sacrifice. OR you can jsut wire a regualr blacklight into your breficase
I LOVE Thanks for all the replies. I will definately consider getting a real blacklight. It looks cool when the unit is switched off and i imagine it is relatively more powerful compared with cold cathodes?
