its just that the "red" moding components I've bought in the past are very rarely actually red... more like dark orange or even pink - but I guess your right when I think about it .. just add more
UV Dye doesn't work like that...... by adding too much dye to the water you can actually kill the UV effect that is why its always best to add the dye (a couple of drops at a time) to the system once you have it all up and running and with UV lights switched on You hear of people saying some UV dye is rubbish when most of the time they have simply added to much The correct ratio for our UV Dye is 1 part UV Dye to 2200 parts water. Red Dye, in fact most red UV things like Red UV Molex, Red UV Paint and Red UV Fan Shrouds tend to look orangey as apparently red is at the wrong end of the spectrum to emit UV as appose to blue and green which give off heaps. We used to sell red dye but had that many complaints about it being orangey that we stopped and i've never seen any that's made me change my mind but i'll keep looking
