Hey guys..Got a bit bored and found my redhat 9 CDs lying around so I decided to install again, and everything works! (touch wood!) I'm just trying to figure out how to change the resolution - I had this problem last time when I had a GF2, :hehe: which died..so I'm using onboard GFX..:blah:..basically, when i change resolution it tells me to restart the X server..so I do, and when i log back on it's still at 800x600.. I've googled a bit, and searched the forums, but havent *really* found anything.

Let me know if you can help out / if theres anything I can do to help you understand the situation better (I'm a newbie at this Linux malarky) ;)

    Cheers, Mid

I had to change some stuff in the bios to get X to go to 1600x1200 when I used onboard..

Edit your XF86Config file. There are many guides around :)

You may have already done this, but CTRL ALT +/- should change the resolution from the options available in your XF86Config file...
