Should I worry about condensation on the waterblock or anywhere else if I use a refrigerator in my cooling system. I've got an extra 1.2 cubic feet (In the UK that means small) refrigerator that I was thinking about putting some type of heat exchanger in for my water cooled system.
Yes. The fridge will drop the temps down to below the rooms ambient, causing condensation. Although I'm not sure how effective a mini fridge would be, as they're not really designed to cool a heat source. But, hey try it. If it works, post your results.
yea this time watch out for condensation on ur lines and ur block cause ur basicly makin a giant chiller cools the water unlike a tec which just cools the block
... and is it a good idea to put a fan on a radiator if in a frig? I'm not sure if it would make much difference.
I'd say it would be not needed but have an even greater effec having a fan, otherwise might not be worth putting it into a fridge.. small space, stagnat air, (no movement whatsoever - other than convection)
the way i solved the problem of condensation was to put the computer inside the actual fridge itself. it should be done by the end of march if i order all the stuff for it. ive got some pics of but i cant put them up till tuesday.
Right... that's what I was thinking. It'd probably just blow a little more heat off the fan, but where would it go??? Nowhere! But I think I'll give it a try just to make sure. You know "theory" has been proven wrong before.
i dunno about the stagnant air thing, itd be cooled air so what does it matter where it goes. as you can see i really dont think that its gonna be that bad full article at http://www.pcrivals.com/projects/computerator/index.shtml
For sure you have to worry about it. I have mine running at -25C and have 12mm closed foam around it.
