    further update now running 12 x 155 = 1860 :D @ 31oC

also I can run without compressor switched on for hours at stock speeds not exceeding 33oC the large volume of water takes a long time to heat, so I have the choice I can rig for silent running, go balls out with compressor running all the time or anywhere in between.

I don't know if Iwaki pumps can be had in the uk but if so the MD-15rlt pump they make would really be the icing on your cake.

The MD-15 offers 300gph, the same as the Ehiem 1250 but at a head pressure of 11.1' which is about a 70% increase vs the Ehiem 1250 and 10% more head than the Ehiem 1060. The only drawback of this pump is it's cost @ $135 USD.

A heck of a system man, congrats.   :brrr:

Damn this systems Going to cost me money!

Obviously now that I have bitchin cooling I'm going to have to get a shiny new thoroughbred B to take advantage of it :naughty:

Equally annoying I fried my 4600 last week and it's gone for rma ( Overclocked me NO Honest :jawdrop: ) and today I was given a 17" monitor, but my standby card a ti200 gold sample only supports a single monitor :waah: such is life :sigh:

Sailor, out of curiosity, how loud is the compressor?

I have considered using phase change before, but have been put off by the noise and the money.

Firstly a little background I'm a fully qualified marine engineer and refrigeration engineer, so I have quite a strong background knowledge.

Anyway to answer your question How Loud? Well I was previously running with a 70mm 4.4k coolermaster on the cpu and 70mm intake and 92mm exhaust, subjectively I would say it is about the same the main source of noise is the mains voltage 150mm sunon on the condensor. The compressor is relatively quiet. As an example go listen to your fridge which will have a large passive condensor up the back.

With my setup ie remote via 1/2 inch reinforced garden hose ( I ditched the clear hose I bought with the cooler as it was absolutely pants, it didn't recover from kinks at all and I loved the price 15m £5 reinforced and the colour is lovely vibrant green! ) the phase change element can be 'shielded' to reduce the noise and a different fan fitted.

As to cost er in my case I just managed to 'accuire' the chiller (ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies lol).

I doubt anybody using phase cooling that doesn't buy a 'kit' probably uses a second hand unit of some kind and with enough persiverance they can be found, afterall there are milllions of them out there.

sorry for double post but it'sbeen 12 days

    New update.

I have now got a final set-up with my pump now in the chiller bath and the stainless pipework removed. To get the pump into the bath turned out really simple, just a matter of removing the pump end covers, I now also have a lot less length of tubing so less flow resistance especially as i'm not using the smaller bore cooling coils.

I'm now maxed out fsb and clock wise yet still only at 22oC running UD agent, 10oC less than case temp!

I've limited the chiller to pull down to 5oC min to prevent condensation and thats with things running flat out idle gets too cool.

next job will be to insulate the cpu but as I don't have anymore capacity to wind this board any higher it's not a priority.

Talking of which anybody know how to get a multiplier greater than 12.5 on an ABIT KG7. selecting 13 giving 12.5 and higher than thirteen defaults to 11.5 stock multiplier.
