Today, my favourite album ever, is re-released through Epitaph in Dolby Digital 5.1 (so THEY say... I'm not so sure, I thought it was just gonna be a digitally remastered thing in a digipak case as other sources say).

I urge anyone remotely interested in 'heavy' music to check out this album. If not the new spangly version the older one at least. Leave the HIM and Rasmus stuff where they are, and pick this up.

Some mp3s of stuff by Refused:

    New Noise
The Shape Of Punk To Come
    Poetry Written In Gasoline
    Blind Date

    Rock on.

Try The[international]Noise Conspiracy, then - same vocalist, more singing :>

    Refused are classic, though.

    Or Lost Patrol.

If your beef is with 'screaming' though, you're a wuss that shouldn't be listening to such music then I suppose ;)

Metallica are the Gods of sweet **** all.

Back to the point of the thread, The Refused were one of the most essential bands of the last 20 years.

    This man speaketh the truth.

Despite his contant insistence on using 'The' as a prefix to their name. Your deity perhaps?

Ah ha ha ha the dude with the Metallica thing going on... nice way to totally undermine yourself there mate :D

Yeah mad shout out to Refused. Big love going out to them for keepin' it real back in the day. You knows it etc.

I gotta say I do prefer Refused pre-Shape... although that may be because that was when I originally started listening to them and I probably never adjusted to the slightly different musical direction they embarked upon. Out of all my records, Shape Of Punk To Come is the one I have the most regrets for listening to the least... if that makes sense.

Damn. It would seem that the 5.1 DVD is North America only.

I find this out after I got my mate to pick it up in B'ham today. He came back with a CD version... But in a Digipak. It is a brand new remastered version granted though. So I don't blame him.

Doh. Think I'll go to Tempest on Wednesday and see if they have it.

Think I'll be able to take my old copy back for a refund? They won't check I'm sure :D

Wow, how on Earth did I not know that? Weird. Then again, not really. Anyway, The Shape of Punk to Come is truly an amazing piece.
