Sorry for posting this in GD to start off with, but GD gets loads of hits I've got a problem in work.. We've got remote control software which unfortunately opens my computer to pranks from one of our less intelligent staff... I've managed to put an end to this by stopping the apparently "unstopable" client by typing "net stop wuser32.exe" - which just brings up "client error" on the other screen which has got him stumped. however, he is now playing around in my registry making stupid undeletable icons etc... *joy to the built in "Conect to remote registry" feature in Win2k... so my question is, does anyone know how I can block access to my computer through remote regedit? also it would be helpful if I could block access through the "manage computer" because it's only a matter of time before some logical drive is deleted or something... cheers.
A quick search in google and a link to the first result : http://rusecure.rutgers.edu/bprac/windows/sm.html Haven't read through it properly but I think it's what you need.
