i just reinstalled the Os on my HDD (Win98SE) and i need to know if i can do the upgrade to XP again with the same registration code or if i need a new one.

i bought the upgrade kit for 98SE to XP Home.

also, i just did the 98SE install and it just automatically put my C: drive at 15.4Gb, but i enabled large disk support, how can i get the full 80GB out of my WD800?

I may have got the wrong idea of what you are doing but even with the upgrade disk you can do a freash install of XP with just the XP disk (although you do have to insert the previous versions disk for a second - just to check to see if you have it). You do not have to install the previous version first, infact it will be cleaner not too...

I suggest you boot off the XP disk and do a fresh install that way. Unless, like I said, I have got the wrong end of the stick.

The upgrade-only disk can be used to fresh-install (I've been doing it for years...)

It all depends on your code, and how many times it's been activated, but if it doesn't accept and you call the activation center, the tech will give you a confirmation number anyways...

yes, you would be able too. Might i suggest formatting it as a NTFS partition, If you do a lot of downloading, compression, or burning dvd's it will allow you to have files over 4 gigs in size, which FAT32 doesnt allow.
