although I dont actually practise being christian, I suppose I am christian, because my family is (although they dont really practise it either)
w00t! Actually, I'd probly call myself agnostic. I'd go muslim or hindu if I really cared and had the chance, though.
i dont live by a religion, i have read the bible, the koran, the teachings of buddah & other holy books i cant remember @ hand & i live my life by ana amalgamtion of the good things about the religion, basically all religions tell you to be kind to your fellow man, dont kill people & stuff liek that so i am a ........................................... ..............actually i dunno what that makes me
religion is bull****...causes more problems than it solves....maby it was fine for a village several thousand years ago to think there was a supreme being to keep them in order, but that just dont work with modern society.......i think the government should outlaw all religion, and estabolish a common moral directive instead...
To quote my father: "I see god everytime i wake up in the morning". Or at least that's what he told me he said when some religious group of students asked him when he was at uni. If god is the creator of life then i see my parents every day, we get on well. Or when a god is presented and proved to me i may accept it, but as a scientist i will not accept anything on the proof of fiction.
I'm a non-believer.... "And on the first day god said... oh **** it I'll start tommorrow." P.S. I was born in PC World... at least there is a pc world now where I was born... *shudders*
No one can prove anything when it comes to religion. He can't proove god doesn't exist any more than you can proove he does exist and therefor the question is useless. This is why it's called a belief. And there's no point in trying to change other people's beliefs as, you might, just might, be wrong in your own beliefs. Thus, "Let n00bs be n00bs."
Christian (Church of England) myself! I think that everyone needs something to believe in, even if it is not a god as such, otherwise life could seem a little pointless! Therefore, any form of ideal or belief could be termed a religion IMO and therefore virtually everyone conforms to some religion or another, whether organised or not! Added to which, the phrase 'God' could take so many different meanings, it simply depends on the individual and how they decide to perceive it.
