you can proove god doesent exhist by using deductive reasoning....logic is where its at.... just think, if there were a "god" in the common relegious sense that were talking about here, then we would be little more than ants compared to him/her/it....now, think of ants as we know them....i dont care moraly what ants do, neither does anyone, so why would this "god" care moraly what we do....... when it all boils down, someone somewhere thousands of years ago was thinking something to himself oneday, when he witnessed what we would call an lightening strike or freek weather incident, and suddenily there "must" be a higher force at play....then people started playing with chemicals and drugs - not knowing what they were, and now were having visions and stuff.....and so on, and so on...... if there realy was a god, then 911, and every other major incident in modern history, would not have happined.......and before any of you relegious nuts start preaching about how everything happins for a reason, and that god allows this stuff to happin, please give it a rest..... and while your at it, please tell all your relegious friends to stop preaching this stuff, and somebody please email the jehova's witness and tell them that they can finally act like normal people cause its all a big scam....and to stop knocking on my door....
Yes, that is a possibilty, but then it is just one theory among numerous others! I think the point is that people have the right to a choice as to exactly what they believe in and no one else can effectively take that away!
I'm an atheist... however my philosophy on life is bastically something like rational naturalism. Pretty much means what it says. I try to be rational and i don't do anything that would get in the way of that like drinking, drugs... although i am addicted to caffiene. Naturalism, everything can be explained naturally... no ghosts magic or gods babby
i beleive that i am god. and such and such, other than that i am atheist. i only use the Jinjer religion as an excuse to try and make my own religious holidays
I used to be an (extremely annoying) Atheist til I read extensively on so many theories that were nigh on impossible to prove (currently) with Science. That's when I realised I was Agnostic. The second you have the slightest of doubt you need to think a bit more logically in your own beliefs (ironically). Funnily enough, the term Agnostic was just created to take flak off of Thomas Huxley's back. During his and Darwin's (and whoever else there were) evolution defining fun, if they were defined as Athiests they would have been grouped in the same area as the violent, rebelling socialists that connected themselves with the term Atheism. As such, Huxley believed that since they knew they couldn't disprove the existence of a God (and that's not what their intentions were anyway) they shouldn't have to be known as Atheists. He made up the word Agnostic and is still around in our language because of it. To sum up my own stance. Evolution > Creationism. Although I highly doubt there's an almighty deity in the universe, but there's always a chance. PS - I will watching this thread very closely for two reasons: 1. I love this subject and debating/conversing on it. 2. I shall not tolerate flames of any kind. Hmmmkay? Debating = Good. Flaming = Not so Good. But then I know no one here is that silly. ...I hope.
the way i see relegion is i think what i think, never ever discourage anone elses views as that is not on, if there is a higher being then im not sure if there is or is not & i would like to meet them before i decide (noticed hwo i said them & not him as for all we know god could be male, female, black or white as the bible says gad made us in his own image god could look like anything, heck he could be a big brain & the bible talks about he made our brains in his image & let the body upto nature) & as they will be a supreme being they will understand my thoughs abouyt wanting to meet them & not blindly following (if that was offfensive to anyone, im sorry but i did not mean it to be offensive at all)
i have no religion apparently to start a religion you only need 2 people so how bout we start our own lets call it the Bit-Tech religion and on sundays you HAVE to come and hang out at bit-tech.net but WHO are we worshiping i hear you say..... The answer.... The Bit-tech team of course you do know they are all gods next up the Bit-Tech religion 10 commandments 1) thou must have at least one cut in thy case. 2) thou must void any waranty related to computer hardware. 3) thou must flame microsoft. 4) six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Bit-Tech team in it thou shalt no do any work unless it modding related. 5) honour thy modfather. 6) if thou cut thy hand on thy case then thou MUST beat the f*** out of it. 7) thou shalt not lie about looking at XXX rated sites. 8) thou must inform others or your up and comming mods. 9) thou shalt not frown upon thy neighbours misdoings. 10) thou shall not covet thy neighbours case. WILL YOU JOIN THE BIT-TECH RELIGION
Personally i'm a theist... not atheist. Basically i beleive in something, i am not undecided (agnostic) but i do not know what i believe in! Nor do i particularily care, the point is i believe in something... be it a 'god' in the conventional sense or the absolute purity and beauty of science (should it ever define 'everything') The way i see it religion was 'invented' to explain things such as lightning or catastrophies in times gone by and as science has developed it has produced a lot more credible answers (imo)... now where that leaves religion is debatable. Most 'conventional' religions would seem on very insecure ground in this light but once you get up into the 'more interesting' realms of physics and the like you still have room for 'mystical', 'uncertain' and 'divine' things... hence my belief in theism

just hang a crucifix upside down on your door... they won't come back... and if they say you're going to hell... just expose yourself and they really won't come back.... but as far as I'm concerned.... Atheism... it's God's religion now if you think about that statement logically... it's actually true.
How? Atheism literally means: Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods. The doctrine that there is no God or gods. How would a God deny it's own existence? Side Note: You can still be religious and be an Atheist.
