ARGH. My internet is soo slow today that the pics time out... I can see the ones up to the pic of the fan grill, so I'll give my opinion on that point. Sinizter says to put on a laser cut fan grill, but I think that the wire chrome grill looks much nicer against there. A laser grill woul druin the effect I think. Nice tinting and placing with the power switch, really good look I'm sure the rest looks cool, I'll see it later, hopefully the internet is better tomorrow. Good work'su
Okay I'm in Linux now and my internet is working fine, which means Windows raped my internet AGAIN... *mumbles ogsenities at Windows* I must say, the lighting looks really cool. Nice job
Top Tip for silicone - my pa ownz a plumbing & heating business and a top tip if you use silicone, wet your finger liberally (I.E A lot) a nice big spit on teh ehd of your finger and run it across the bead, you get a nice edge to it then Remember to keep your finger wet and wipe between each spit!!!
Looking at the hygine of most of our employees I doubt they've even seen dishwash, or understand what it does!! Not supprising in that case, why I've banned any of the moving my car out the warehouse in the morning (I'm the last home) only me or my pa are allowed in it
Great work mate! The lighting through those panels looks awesome! Kinda gives me an idea of what mine will turn out later as well (when I eventually get the flamin' funds for it).
I did wipe the silicon around the top and sides but left a bead at the botton. And that stuff gave me a really icky feeling inside me ... smeel is digusting :/ Yeah thats my only problem, I wanted to keep it silent and as stealthy as possible. I am thinking about putting blowholes in the lid at a later date but for the moment one fan is going to have to do the job. The lid is also about 3 times heavier than the actualy case because it is designed to be bullet proof. I'm going to need some serious machinary to get thru the lid. Just going to isntall the hardware in it like this and then it should be ready for lan'ing
Idea : Give it a little stands, then put the blowhole to the bottom ... might be under drives, not really sure how it looks w/ psu drives everything right now.
very sweet case. i agree that a bottom intake would be best if it will work in your case. it would be the stealthiest way of doing it. oh yeah, "this is the end of the line, fathazza." edit: since I know I will just end up explaining, that is what the character in hazza's avatar is saying during that shot; except he is, of course, saying it to Galvatron.
"It's over Prime". "You've got the touch. You've got the power..." Unicron: "I have summoned you here for a purpose" Megatron: "Nobody summons Megatron" Unicron: "Then it pleases me to be the first" Classic film. And classic case if I may say so. It still has the military look to it. All you need now is the head of your last victim staring malevolantly through the plexi and you're sorted!
Final update, sorry it took so long coming, busy last couple of weeks at university. This is where you see how small it gets! All the hardware ready to be installed Two hard drives mounted to the motherboard tray The motherboard tray installed in the case, not much room now... You can see the plastic rivits in these pictures, 6 hold the motherboard tray in. The underside showing the heads of the rivits PSU installed, ooh not much space for the rest now :/ Neatly route the cables for the hard drives under the motherboard tray. Motherboard installed, Radeon 9700 (thanks to OCS) and the sound card. Not forgetting the blue cathode I cheated with the graphics and the sound card by taking off the metal plate and just sitting them in. Here is the PSU hiding behind the rear acrylic panel. Finished with the lid on and sitting on my desk Running windows, P4 2.0 and radeon 9700 goodness The blue glow and LED fan light it up, shame I couldn't get a better picture of the window in the daylight Thats it, one lan box
