Sweet work mate, really nice You said you removed the metal plate from the cards to "cheat". Does that mean they're not fixed in, so if you were to push the case backwards by accident, and the monitor cable pressed against the wall... your Rad could dislodge??
That is VERY nice looking, Spike, good work dude Time to 0wm the others at the next LAN eh? Hwulex, I think what he means is that the little tab you normally screw the card to the case with, has been removed, so they are just held in place by the AGP/PCI slot itself. But since the mobo sits horizantal (and heance the cards sit vertical) it should be fine as long as, like you said, the monitor cable doens't get psuhed in to hard. Great work again Spike,
Hwulex is right, I had to remove the whole metal plate at the back of the card. And as he said this does introduce the problem of the card being janked out if it is knocked. Hence I am going to introduce some zip ties to hold it down. Ghetto!
well I think that as long as it does the job why not? lol great lan case looks really great! with so small place... does the temperature goes high? nice av btw
Nice! It's cool how you put it in the Army box. *looks at army box next to him* Maybe a laptop could fit in mine...
hey spike i see room for another fan on the back! by the way, how are holding the hdds in? did i miss something? EDIT: nevermind, found the hdd question answer
How about flattening out the bend on the blanking plates then screwing them to the acrylic straght it would probabley be much easier
actually, you could just run some 10lb test monofilament under the pci and agp slot and tie the cards down. I've done it before and with the screws removed from the card, I pulled very hard and card still didnt come out! Very nice btw.....
Wicked !! The hard work has paid off, been following this since you first posted, and it's been worth the wait.
