    I always wanted to see a single player campaign version of it, like Heavy Gear.

    I used to love Heavy Gear. I miss campy low-budget FMV in games. "You. Me. One hour. In Gear."

    I remember building a mech in MechWarrior 2 which used one of the lightest chassis but one of the biggest engines. Absolutely nothing could hit me, but I couldn't kill anything either 'cos I only had enough weight allowance left over for a single machine gun and one slot of ammunition...

    Separately I also discovered that there doesn't seem to be an upper limit to the world in MW2, by hacking a save file to create a lightweight chassis with about a million tonnes of weight allowance then fitting it with seven hundred jumpjets. I started the game, pressed the J key for about half a second, and quit back to the menu after ten minutes had passed and I was still heading upwards...

    Greetings!

    You still can do fast mechs in MWO. But not all mechs will be fast mechs and the maps dont favour speed.
    Hawken felt like a powered suit game.
