    Hey,

First of all, im sorry if this kind of questions have been asked before but the search engine didn't helped me that much.

But ok, here is the 'problem'. I am currently in the fase of buying a sweet bike. Now here is what I want to do: The bike has a 12v power supply and I want to add several (parralel) leds to the bike but I want to turn it on/off through a remote control. The receiver will be somewhere in the loop ofcourse but now here is the thing...

I've been looking around on the internet to look for a good (matched, so it works together) 2 button keychain kinda like remote control and a receiver that works along with this. Receiver has to run on 12v I guess and the rest is easy (I hope). Where could I find such a remote control and receiver for a reasonable price?

Im not too experienced with electronics and stuff like that so building it myself would be out of the question :worried:

I hope someone has some info for me!

    Thanks,
    Erik

    100th post

I know maplin sell some, although I don't know how suitable they would be. If you are interested, try using picaxe chips (www.picaxe.co.uk) You did say you did'nt want to do it yourself, but they are incredibly easy, as they have been programmed with a bootstrap

I don't have any experience with building those pcb boards.

Only thing the remote control has to have is 2 or 4 (if possible) buttons and a receiver that will turn the loop (or two loops) on/off. Ofcourse this receiver is hooked somehow to the 12v of the powersource.
