Modding remote power on

    after i saw this
    panel

    i started to wonder

    can i make a home made remote for the PC like this pannel
    becouse 40$ is to much just for this

    any ideas?

    You probably could but will end up spending more than $40,-- --unless you really know what you are doing.

    You could do the same with a cheap wireless doorbell from Home Depot. Just wire up a relay off the speaker and connect that to your power switch jumpers. Cheap but also kindof ghetto.

    Yeah, the doorbell method seems good (if you don't mind soldering etc.)

    Great Guide. I suppose that it would be possible to use the same method to lock the computer when I am away from it. What would I need? :dremel:

    If anyone in the UK wants to know where you can get cheap wireless doorbells from, I saw one in ASDA for £4 the other day. Know you cant go wrong with that.
