I've just setup a win98 box for my brother, he needs to be able to share files/printers with the mainPC but not have any internet access. He's cunning enough that I can't just hide IE away as he'd just install another browser.

Currently its a standard win 98 install nothing fancy, and the broadband connection is being shared through a router (which i cant change so nothing about linux routing or what not)

Possibly some kind of program that will run and stop all his internet access...

    Anyone got any ideas?

You could just limit his bandwidth to like nothing. Can defnintely be done, just cannot remember how to atm. Will have a think about it.

i take it the router is a dhcp server

you could just on the computer set a static ip , and leave the default gateway blank
